Los Angeles, Here We Come! — ITS World Congress Kicks Off in Six Days

Nearly two years after it was initially scheduled, ITS America is thrilled to welcome the world to the ITS World Congress in Los Angeles beginning September 18th! If you haven’t yet registered, it is not too late! The registration link is here, and we have highlighted some of the many offerings participants will experience over the five-day event.

‘Can’t Miss’ Sessions

Demonstrations

The exciting demonstrations will offer a live, first-hand opportunity to experience and learn about the latest innovations and future mobility possibilities. Demonstrations will be ongoing throughout the exhibit hall days from Monday through Thursday – a few are highlighted below.

  • AECOM & Spoke Safety – join first-of-its-kind demonstrations where cars “digitally” see bikes, providing awareness to vulnerable road users.
  • Connected Wise – ride in a conventional vehicle that is equipped with Connected Wise’s ADAS device that will display advanced safety messages as well as displaying smart sign messages for upcoming roadway conditions.
  • Elmo – this demonstration will feature a car that is operated by the tele-driver sitting inside the exhibit hall.
  • HAAS Alert – experience how drivers receive real-time Safety Cloud digital alerts from roadway hazards such as emergency vehicles, work zones, and dangerous weather events.
  • Hexagon – experience safe and reliable positioning for autonomy in real-time that can be extended to transportation and logistics applications like trucking, last-mile delivery, automated shuttles, and more.
  • Miovision – see how real-time usage of a local monitor can highlight both locally connected views of devices and cloud-based tools used to manage detection and intersections remotely.
  • USDOT’s CDA Program – experience multiple demonstrations of USDOT’s Cooperative Driving Assistance program.

Emergency Response

Emergency Response (ER) Day returns to ITS World Congress on Tuesday, September 20. This year’s ER Day will focus on emerging technology-based problems and solutions responders will face in evolving smart city infrastructure environments. Programming includes exhibit hall sessions as well as outdoor demonstrations.

The full schedule is available here and on the newly-released the ITS World Congress 2022 Mobile App, now available in the Apple Store or Google Play.

If all this programming – and more – isn’t enough, break out your red-carpet-worthy duds for Wednesday evening’s “Old Hollywood Glamour” gala event at the InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown.

We are so looking forward to seeing you at the Los Angeles Convention Center – and please stop by our booth – #1459 – to say hello!
