Taking place April 24-27, 2023 (Conference: April 24-27 | Expo Hall: April 25-27) at the Gaylord Texan Resort, the ITS America Conference & Expo will explore the theme: “Implementing Innovation for All”, and bring together the entire intelligent transportation community for thought-provoking education, networking, and demonstrations exploring the technologies and solutions that will enable a better future.

The deadline to submit proposals is December 12, 2022.

U.S. Trade & Development Agency Announcements

The U.S. Trade & Development Agency has announced an RFP for an e-mobility project. The Quito Electric Bus and ITS Modernization Project Technical Assistance. Firms that may be in interested in the opportunity can review and respond to the RFP by December 16th.

The U.S. Trade & Development Agency will also be hosting a Business Briefing that will include a session where municipalities and ministries will present information on their priority projects and opportunities for the deployment of smart technologies. Additionally, delegates will participate in a Best Practices and Financing for Smart City and ITS Deployments roundtable with representatives from the U.S. public and private sectors. U.S. DOT – OST-RD&T Vacancy Announcement – Technical Director for Safety and Transportation Operations

The Office of the Assistant Secretary for Research and Technology is seeking a Technical Director for Safety and Transportation Operations.

The ideal candidate will possess expert knowledge of safe, multimodal, connected transportation system(s) and the role of Federal research investments, and will also have in-depth experience in one or more relevant areas of research, development, and/or technology program delivery and oversight (e.g. operations, mobility, congestion, transportation system, safety, automated systems, connected systems, etc.). The ideal candidate will have experience in program building/delivery, stakeholder engagement, and possess strong knowledge of the innovation creation to deployment lifecycle. The successful candidate will work with senior executives and non-career staff across the Department, and with thought leaders and partners across the globe to shape the Department’s leadership role and advance the DOT’s RD&T vision. 

The position is located at DOT Headquarters in Washington, DC and eligible for maximum telework. Local (DC/VA/MD metro area) remote status applications will also be considered.
