New “ITS Technology Use Case Library” will provide highlights of projects across the country enabling safer, greener, smarter mobility

Washington, DC – The Intelligent Transportation Society of America (ITS America) released a new resource this afternoon at the Transportation Research Board (TRB) Annual Meeting. The “ITS Technology Use Case Library” was announced by ITS America President & CEO Laura Chace during the “State of ITS” session at TRB.

The online library will be a living document that will serve as a complementary resource to other databases focused on quantifying the benefits of deploying ITS technologies, such as the U.S. DOT’s Benefits, Costs, and Lessons Learned Map. The intent of this library is to highlight projects with tangible impacts on communities across the nation, reflecting a full range of ITS solutions from digital signage and AI-powered crash management to connected and automated vehicles. ITS America will continue to add to this library to highlight developments in the industry, emphasize successes, and showcase lessons learned to policymakers, industry leaders, and the public in easily digestible segments.

“We are excited to unveil this new resource that will expand education about ITS technologies, their impacts on communities of all sizes and geographies, and enable knowledge sharing among industry peers,” said ITS America President & CEO Laura Chace. “We know that this will be a useful and accessible resource for policy makers at all levels, and state, regional and local practitioners as we make decisions on how to invest in our digital infrastructure to solve the problems of today and tomorrow. We are proud to showcase the incredible work of ITS America members who are building the next generation of safer, greener smarter mobility to support transportation for generations to come.”

The “ITS Technology Use Case Library” can be found on www.itsa.org. If you have a project that you would like included, contact information can be found on the library landing page.
