Located just Northwest of Columbus, Ohio, the 33 Smart Mobility Corridor (33 SMC) is one of the largest connected vehicle test beds in the United States and is part of a larger regional innovation hub called the Beta District.

The recent FCC ruling to reallocate the ITS Safety Band has significantly impacted the ability to operate V2X technology along the 33 SMC and will have additional implications over the course of the next 2-5 years. Deloitte has been supporting the NW 33 Innovation Corridor Council of Governments (COG) and working with DriveOhio, ODOT and other 33 SMC stakeholders to develop a Roadmap for navigating the ruling’s impact on the CV environment and future-proofing the 33 SMC investment.
