We are at the start of the ‘infrastructure decade’ – on the cusp of a once-in-a-generation investment in infrastructure, mobility, and transportation. With over $550 billion in investments with the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, the transportation and mobility tech sectors are experiencing a new revolution. Both government and tech companies must evolve to keep up with the pace of technology evolution and understand how transportation technologies can advance our goals to save lives, promote sustainability, grow access and advance equal opportunity.

To meet this growing need, Public Spend Forum is partnering with the Intelligent Transportation Society of America (ITS America) in its first Mobility and Transportation Tech Showcase. The Tech Showcase is part of our ongoing series to build awareness of technologies in different industries and address how we overcome barriers to adoption.

Technology evolves faster than we can imagine the future. Rapidly evolving transportation innovations are being developed and deployed that promise to entirely reshape the way our transportation network operates, facilitating vast improvements to transportation safety and overall mobility. The promise of these innovations is apparent, but the deployment and application of these technologies is not without challenges. While technology disrupts the transportation ecosystem with new innovations and ideas, government, communities, private companies, and researchers must race to catch up to and contend with ideas never thought possible. How do we accelerate change and safely embrace new technology while promoting collaboration across industry to advance shared societal goals? Through nonprofits like the Intelligent Transportation Society of America (ITS America).
