Findings and Lessons Learned from the MOD Sandbox Trip Planning and Fare Payment Deployments

The Intelligent Transportation Society of America Mobility on Demand (MOD) Alliance and the U.S. Department of Transportation are pleased to present Findings and Lessons Learned from the MOD Sandbox Trip Planning and Fare Payment Deployments.

Bibiana McHugh of the Tri-County Metropolitan Transportation District of Oregon (TriMet) will share lessons learned from the agency’s incorporation of shared mobility into OpenTripPlanner. Ross MacDonald of the Vermont Agency of Transportation (VTRANS) will share how their agency used the flexible General Transit Feed Specification (GTFS-flex) to incorporate fixed and flexible transportation services into the agency’s OpenTripPlanner. Angie Devore and Tyler Olson of Valley Metro will share key findings from the deployment of the Pass2Go app integrating trip planning, real-time information, and fare payment for public transportation. Adam Cohen of UC Berkeley will share lessons learned and cross-cutting findings from the MOD Sandbox Demonstration program.
