Join us in an interview-style webinar with ITS America members Virginia Department of Transportation and Microsoft as they discuss recent experience at a critical infrastructure workshop and VDOTs recent implementation of digital twin technology using Microsoft partner ecosystem (ESRI & Bentley). They will illustrate the goals and objectives of VDOT’s digital transformation plan and the need for a cohesive strategy (that integrates Engineering Technology, Operations/Maintenance Technology, and Information Technology) that establishes a reimagined data ecosystem.

By leveraging this data foundation, VDOT will share how they have incorporated the latest technologies such as digital twins, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, robotic process automation, and low code/no code solutions to create a truly scalable, flexible, and adaptable environment. Removing data silos and overcoming data interconnectivity challenges that traditionally exist in government agencies will empower DOTs to shift the technical resources to focus on achieving strategic objectives and key results rather than the more commoditized technical workloads.
