In this webinar, GRIDSMART will present a new approach for protecting bicyclists transiting through signalized intersections that is both safer and more efficient than existing stop-line methods. Rather than deciding “once and finally” at the stop-line, GRIDSMART uses computer vision and machine learning to track and classify bikes as they traverse the entire intersection, providing just enough clearance time for the individual bicyclist whether they move slowly or quickly.
