“ITS America congratulates Mayor Pete Buttigieg on being confirmed as Secretary of Transportation. During his confirmation hearing, he expressed support for many of the priorities ITS America supports to move our country forward, including ensuring the safety of our transportation system and harnessing innovation to encourage new mobility modes and models. He also noted the role the Department of Transportation can play in creating jobs and revitalizing communities that have been left behind, which will be critical as we emerge from this pandemic.
