ITS Technology Use Case Library

In January 2024, we released our first ever ITS Use Case Library, with the goal of highlighting projects that are having tangible impacts on communities across the country. We are proud to release Volume 2 of our ITS Use Case Library, featuring ten new use cases and a special section dedicated to AI-based deployments.

We have showcased a variety of technologies including connected vehicles, AI-powered traffic management, adaptive signals, smart work zones, automated vehicles (AVs), transit signal priority, rapid transit planning, smart data centralization, and much more. We created this use case library for your use in conversations with federal policymakers, regulators, as well as the general public, to tell the ITS story and showcase our members’ accomplishments through a living document that will be regularly updated. With deployments from our members in both the private and public sector, this library showcases some of the best examples of using technology to make transportation safer, greener, and smarter for all.

If you have a project that you would like considered for future inclusion, please contact Bobby McCurdy, Senior Director of Policy & Advocacy at bmccurdy@itsa.org
