How Technology Can Create a More Sustainable and Resilient Transportation System

Blueprint Webinar Series – Transforming Transportation through Technology

The transportation sector is the biggest contributor of our country’s greenhouse gas emissions – responsible for 29 percent of overall U.S. emissions – and that is likely to increase with Americans driving more miles every year. In addition, stronger hurricanes, more intense wildfires, and extreme temperatures are severely impacting the resiliency of our transportation system. Now is the time to deploy innovative technology, such as electric vehicles, fast charging infrastructure, and hydrogen fuel cells, to enhance the sustainability and resiliency of our transportation system, reduce transportation’s outsized impact on the environment, and protect infrastructure from the effects of climate change.

Please join ITS America as we unveil our new Sustainability and Resiliency Policy and discuss the advancement of zero-emission vehicles, charging and alternative fueling infrastructure, power grid capability and resiliency, rights-of-way and roadside management, workforce development, and needed further research and development.
