The Senate’s Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act is an historic investment in transportation. It provides an opportunity to modernize our transportation system and work with state and local transportation agencies to build a digital layer on top of our physical infrastructure.

ITS America has long advocated for priorities included in this bill – including funding eligibility for transportation cybersecurity and Mobility on Demand, safety priorities like Vision Zero and vehicle-to-pedestrian technology, alternative vehicle fueling infrastructure, congestion relief, increased investment in research, and broadband deployment.

To retain the transportation and infrastructure advantages we achieved in the 20th century, we must invest in intelligent transportation and infrastructure to create a safer, greener, smarter transportation system for the 21st century.
